Ms. Ruby

Two days before vacation we had to say goodbye to our sweet Ms. Ruby.
She was larger than life, quirky as heck, and left a hound-shaped hole in our hearts.

Mexico

A couple of weeks ago we took a somewhat last minute trip to Mexico with Mommers. We all had a wonderful time swimming, playing in the sand, napping, and swimming some more. 

Logan made a new friend on the first day, and the two of them spent all day every day in the pool. Maya somehow knew she was on vacation and napped 4-5 hours a day. Mommy finally finished a few books, and Daddy got to hit Cerritos for some surfing. Good, good stuff.

So thankful our kids are able to make anything into a "toy".

"Daddy, can Maya sit next to me?" Such a good brother.

Daddy and Logan are the first ones in the pool (center of picture).

Logan loved the golf carts that zoomed you around the resort.
He called them "fancy cars" and he DID NOT want to get off.

Maya and Mommers are little fishies that LOVE the water.

Maya: 11 Months

After two months of unsuccessful otter photos - she thinks it's a game now to crawl away as fast as she can - I decided to sit her in the chair where she can't get away so easily. Worked like a charm.

Little Miss finally sprouted her first two teeth when we were on vacation and has a third tooth nearly through (did I mention no one is sleeping at our house).
She's just shy of 20 pounds and is 31 inches tall.
