I visited my friend Will and took a spin on his bike. It was a great ride - I think I might need to find one of these for myself.

Big Basin Backpacking

This weekend we went backpacking for the first time with Logan. We journeyed forth with our equally crazy friends, Lech and Drea, who brought along their four-month-old baby, Kaya. The kids were amazing little troopers and we had a fantastic time under the canopy of beautiful redwoods during the day and a sky full of stars at night. Logan LOVED being in the dirt and finding beetles, sticks, rocks and leaves.

Independence Day

On the 4th of July we went to Alameda for the parade. It is one of the longest parades in the country with a route that is 3.3 miles long! Logan's favorite entries were the fire trucks and the horses!

This weekend we went to Tahoe to get some fresh air. My favorite things about camping are that you can: a) go exploring, and b) get as dirty as you want!
